Imaging:

Indexing:
Indexing is a method used to prepare digital documents for rapid storage, searching, retrieval, and management, using file conversion methods and character recognition technologies such as OCR (Optical Character Recognition). In the evolution of information management, organizing or categorizing information (taxonomy) has proven to be an extremely efficient and productive way for end users to not only find, but also to discover the information crucial to enterprise productivity. Rebate Processing (a case study)....

A rebate is a type of sales promotion used by marketers, primarily as incentives or supplements to product sales.

The most well-known and used type is the mail-in rebate, an offer in which the purchase of a product entitles the buyer to mail in a coupon, or a receipt and barcode[s] and receive a check for a particular amount, depending on the particular product, time, and often place of purchase.

Datamatrix Technologies Inc. was instrumental in carrying out the rebate processing as an outsourcing vendor for one of the largest Fulfillment houses in United States and has performed the following activities:

Scanning of incoming mail-in-rebate wherein the Rebate forms together with the UPC's of the product were scanned and the resultant images were transferred to an FTP site created exclusively for this work.

Data Entry & processing the data to check for various conditions like offer validity date, retail shop, UPC number and others as specified by the client.

Each copy of the scanned images was indexed based on offer No., Retail shop, Product details, Postage date etc.

The resultant database was made available to the client in the desired format for their future reference.
